MathieuM that was years ago.. Have you tried recently, there haven't been many recent complaints (or rather none) as far as I can see that this extension isn't working.

"Pretty much the same" from a technical perspective can mean a world of difference. Can you post the exact error and your information, so the output of php flarum info, your php and mysql version?

also have some trouble to get this working.

First I installed the extension and the forum crashes
Than I dropped the recipients table and removed the entries from migration table as described before
run php flarum migrate
Extension is installed.

Looks fine.

But.

When creating a private discussion with users it will work.
Adding groups to the recipients (like mods and admins) it wont create a private discussion.
