cmwetherell this extension is intended to be used together with Flarum's Emoji extension. Flarum extension provides the : completion as well as image-based emojis.
Alternatively if you decide to use this extension without Flarum's Emoji extension, you won't have access to : and emojis won't be turned into images, instead the native emojis of each platform will be used in the post body.
This extension is just the jQuery-based picker added to the toolbar, there's absolutely no other feature.
