Package http-interop/http-middleware is abandoned, you should avoid using it. Use http-interop/http-server-middleware instead.

Twiistrz can you try running php flarum cache:clear.

If it doesn't solve it, check the error logs (browser console, flarum.log and webserver logs for the full error message ? If you still don't get any error message set debug to true in config.php to enable debug mode. I need the actual error message to help troubleshoot that ?

Twiistrz great to hear ! This kind of issue is usually related to Flarum not completely re-generating assets after an extension is enabled.

Twiistrz I have the same issue but I tried that and it shows the same error message. Is it because I have also the attach and MarkDownEditor installed also?

kayoo123 the underlying emoji picker is using the list of emojis from EmojiOne, most likely based on this file at some point https://github.com/emojione/emojione/blob/master/emoji.json . The same list is used by the post formatter of Flarum to render emojis in posts.

So... short answer, no, it's not possible to add other emojis. If some EmojiOne emojis are not showing up in the picker or in the posts, it's possible they use an outdated version of the emoji list.

Technically it would be possible to dynamically push new emojis into the EmojiOne list, but it would require altering the post rendering as well and remove the use of an external CDN, and this is out of the scope of this extension.

bertaveira it should work with all the other editor extensions (except the WYSIWYG one which replaces the editor).

It's likely just a caching issue. Try in order:

php flarum cache:clear
Clear Cloudflare cache if using it
Clear browser page cache with CTRL+F5

If this doesn't solve it can you have a look at the browser console to see the full error message ?

Kryonoglou sorry no I won't as that extension is replacing Flarum with a non-standard editor. Also it's a self-proclaimed proof of concept so I see no reason to try to support it given it might well break again in the future ?

Anybody's welcome to fork my extension to make it compatible with that editor though, assuming it's possible (I've not tried it).

I'm using an official Flarum method to inject text at the place of the cursor, so somebody could also update the WYSIWYG extension to correctly bind with that method, thus not needing any action from my side. I'm not sure whether the WYSIWYG extension is doing this or not, but I assume it's not if the emoji extension doesn't work with it.

I don't really like the other extensions..
This extension "quill" if you choose a word and press the button B (BOLD) you can see the effect in front of your eyes. The other extensions use symbols in the editor like **text** and I don't really like them.

I disable the previews editor, your plugin works on the edit menu but if I post it I can't see the smiles. Just the codes: :grinningg: (with one g to the end)

The core editor has a preview as well, it's just not in the editor itself but in the flow of posts.
