I guess this can be fixed up with private discussions if I'm not mistaken... I honestly reckon he means private messages between more than just one other recipient.

    If you mean a group/private discussion then this extension is what you are looking for.

    Hey! I am exactly looking for something like that. Want to create multiple private discussions with a group of about 200 community members. Is there something that can help me create a group of this 200 people, such that in each private discussion that I create I can just add that group as the recipient?

        luceos Yeah using it already! Was just curious if I could create a group of people, such that everytime in a private discussion where I want to add all of these people, I could actually just add that group.

              PalakS create a permission group, you can add permission groups to private discussions in byobu too.

                                  PalakS Another way to do Private discussions, like @luceos mentioned above, is to make a tag, and only allow admins, or mods to see it, or add a custom group and add users to it. Then, when you start a discussion in that group, only those users will see it, and that also removes the need for any extensions
