Pointing Domain to Droplet

Hi, with a lot of help from 0E800 I finally got Flarum working on a droplet, thanks again ?
Now I am pointing my domain to this droplet but it seems like it lands on /var/www/html --> welcome to nginx! However Flarum is installed in /var/www/flarum.

If I enter the IP manually in my browser it works fine, due to 0E800's solution:

sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/flarum
Change:
server_name flarum;
To:
server_name yourserversipaddress;

Add your domain name where you put in your server Ip.

Ie:

server_name mydomain.com www.mydomain.com;

Then restart your host.

Btw _ troubleshooting your issues is a welcome relief to my daily mundane IT Support tasks. Got a failing domain controller and upper administration people not quite understanding the doom and gloom that is over the horizon. Still on WS2003...leh sigh.

0E800 good thing you haven't closed this thread yet ?

So I am running into a few problems at the moment:
1. sign up does not work. "Oops something went wrong". When I try the same username however, it seems to recognise it, because it says the name is already taken when I try to register the name again
2. in the email configuration tab - what does "driver" mean?
3. Port - do I use the SSL port my domain host gave me?

my domain host gives me the following information for email addresses:
- smtp server
- servername for ssl requests
- servername fpr ssl dispatch
- ssl port
- mailserver name
- domain name

You should probably let Luceos separate this from the original thread, you know, to keep things tidy.
I can help you with your email issues.
However, I have only gotten email to work with Google Gmail.

This is what my Email prefs look like, maybe it will help:

I was unable to find any digital ocean smtp settings so I figure you need to host your own email server else use gmail etc.
