Eldenroot Actually, in the last nine months we've had several new devs appear in our community, many new (and oft requested) extensions published and our activity levels have stayed pretty constant. There's always turnover in any community, and some of our oldest fans are here less frequently, but I know many of them still check in on us and read the monthly updates.
And yes, we're largely waiting on Toby and Franz to finalize the new API roadmap, that will dictate a lot of the development work in the near future and it's important to have the core devs in agreement on that. I know Toby is in the middle of a semester in medical school and his time on Flarum is scheduled between exams and hospital shifts. If that gives you pause, recall (or understand, if you didn't know) that he took all of 2015 off from medical school in order to work on Flarum. That's why the pace now seems to meander from before, but also why Flarum is so far along as it is.
We're almost there, folks, it just takes almost as much, if not more, time to get from 90% to 100% than it does to get from 0% to 90%. Throwing another dev at the problem, especially one unfamiliar with Flarum's code and philosophy, not to mention Laravel and other dependencies, is only going to slow down the progress, not speed it up. Remember that we recently added sijad to the core dev team, and his contributions have aided greatly. We've also had considerable contributions from luceos, datitisev, Dominion and davis. So it's not a manpower issue as much as it is just a time issue, good work takes time.
