I thought I should share this.
I'm using InfinityFree to host my forum and this is what I did.
- Created an account on infinityfree
- Connected my domain
- Installed Composer and Wamp
- Created a new directory, Right Click + shift > command prompt and typed this in:
composer create-project flarum/flarum . --stability=beta
- Zipped the downloaded files
- Login to control panel > File Manager > DomainName > Htdocs > Upload > Upload zip > Select the zip file
- Let it extract the files
- Go to your domain and you should have flarum working.

ExceptionDev I can't see how you managed this, as Flarum's files are split between flarum/flarum and flarum/core, plus other libraries that Flarum requires and composer downloads on project creation. A simple repo clone and download will not achieve a working flarum install.

Ah! I did a mistake.

How did you do this? I don't seem to have SSH access on InfinityFree, and it doesn't say anywhere on their site that they offer free VPS.

I think there's a lot of mis-information in the original post. I strongly doubt they would offer that level of access on a free level account.

Whilst there are ways of hosting Flarum on a free service, this unfortunately I don't think is one of them.
