Kulga Problem solver by running installation again with

./flarum_management -i

Hi! Thank you for the script! It looks great!

I am using DigitalOcean $10 VPS. On a clean VPS (Ubuntu 16.06 64) I used following commands:

wget 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kulga/flarummanagement/master/flarum_management' -O flarum_management
chmod u+x flarum_management
./flarum_management -if workingclubs.co

Then I opened my domain name and provided mysql settings from the console.
After I pressed Save button I get "504 Getway timeout."

Are there any ideas why it happened?

I would suggest checking /var/log/nginx/error.log and posting relevant portions with sensitive info (like ip addresses) redacted. I'm not sure otherwise.

Update

Updated to work on 17.10 (Mostly just a increment from php7.0 -> 7.1)
Verified to function on minimal Ubuntu 17.10 droplet (1024MB)
- Initial Install of LEMP
- Installation of Flarum install
- Creating incremental backups and restoral
- SSL configuration (you'll need to modify your config.json to have https.domain.tld

Sorry about that, it should be fixed now.

Unfortunately, ubuntu is incrementing the php versions, so what is working on 17.10 won't work on 16.04, unless I can get some reliable OS version detection

Edit: I'm changing some things on there to make it work better with ubuntu 16.04 & 17.10

Script should work fine for Ubuntu 16.04 and 17.10 automatically now (using lsb_release -r)
@luceos also kindly pulled a request for fixing a variable name I forgot to update ?

Ah.. I didn't test SSL because it required a valid address (versus just a ip address)
A little while back I changed several variable names to clarify exactly what it was installing, however obviously I neglected to update them throughout.

Anyways, I've now gone through and updated them and tested every single option to success.

-i successfully installs Ubuntu 16.04 (php7.0) or Ubuntu 17.10 (php7.1) packages
-f successfully installed SITENAME
-s modifier successfully installs lets encrypt, adds ssl config, acquires certificate, adds cron entry for automatic updates, removal of certificate with -r
-r successful removal of site (fixed if check >.>)
-b successful backing up of site and database, subsequent runs successfully incrementally backs up site
-a successfully restores site and data from most recent backup

Kulga i got it working on your script, very clean and easy. thanks for the fast updates. im going to be a very heavy user of this script.

Recommendation: If possible could you add a redirect so it can only be accessed through https?

@Kulga I'm running into issues with redirecting via .htaccess from http://forum.teleskop.ro -> https://forum.teleskop.ro. I created a separate thread here and posted the content of my .htaccess

perte this script installs and uses nginx and not Apache, you you need to configure the server block not .htaccess

Make sure to only use it with versions I've mentioned at the top. Other versions won't work.

I've updated it to work with 18.10.

Tested to be working:

Install
Installing a flarum site
Backup
Restore

Not working (will require manual config):
