I only know because I have a soon to be 5 year old. If you watch cartoon network, you will bound to come across The Regular Show, Adventure Time, Bubble Gupies.

Lsd, it sure does bring out the creativity in animation. XD

I don't watch Cartoon Network, I'm more of a post apocalyptic kind of guy - Walking Dead, The Last Ship, shows like that.

But yes, having a near 5 year old would expose you to that kind of stuff, poor you! haha ?

Arkinn Have you tried Colony or Falling Skies? Alien apocalypticals are more fun for me than zombie. Of course, I prefer science fiction on visual media. I save fantasy mostly for books.

Yes, both of them. Falling Skies I completed a few months ago (I can't believe they ended that!!), and Colony I'm up to date with so far.

Have you seen Arrival? The movie. It's very good, very ethereal and subtle.

0E800 Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, TMNT, I'm with you there. Goonies, meh, I prefer Stand By Me. Or the modern redux stuff in The Goldbergs (sorta), Super8, Stranger Things.

There are some movies that still hold substance, but yeah, it's getting harder to find them. The Arrival was one, the last two Hunger Games movies did a good job of being substantial without rushing the content, and I thought the latest Star Wars: Rogue One did an amazing job. It is really difficult to wade through the fluff, though.

I am a product of the 80s. Star Wars, The Goonies, Indiana Jones, Krull, Red Dawn, Airwolf, McGuyver, TMNT, ThunderCats (notice the avatar?) , GI Joe.

Japanimation blew my mind with Akira, Ninja Scroll, Berserk, Outlaw Star, Ghost in the Shell.

Today's movies are just low attention span high entertainment, yesterday's movies had substance and meaning.

This kind of thing people might want to read about on my profile page; hint hint. ?
