jordanjay29 Sometimes the people want what the people want. ?
'People' come up with fails all the time.
Case in point:
Urban areas require dog owners to 'bag' their pets feces. In an attempt to reduce the amount of canine poop on the sidewalks.
Sounds great in theory.
The reality: people bag their pets deposits, but then toss them in the bushes because... nobody wants to tote around their best friends crap.
So..
Now what would have naturally decomposed in the ground or washed away with the rain and elements will become a time capsule for dog poop.
Moral of story:
"Do not ever underestimate a large crowd of stupid people."
and,
"Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it."
?
To bring this back to OP, this extension has merit. Say I want to sell something but I don't want anyone to know what the highest bid is right out the gate.
I show my pictures of the item. Nobody knows what the current highest bid is yet. (Pending bottom addition request to extension is true, see below).
User replies with a number and then gets to see what the current highest bid is. (After they reply)
Another way to use this would be to have a challenge. Like: 'crack this wpa handshake', and after the user replies with his answer, he can see if it's correct.
@WiseClock not sure if the @ works, seems to only work at the very top of the thread, (there it shows your name after the @),
A great way to improve this extension would be:
Reply2SeeReplies.
This way nobody can see what was replied until they reply. ..hint..hint.
This would also prevent users from copy pasting the hidden content inside a reply, which defeats the purpose.
