Use my own user account/login system?

I’m curious to find a simple forum platform that I can integrate with my existing user accounts. Will this be possible with Flarum?

Own custom, like users have accounts and sessions on my website already however it has no forum feature, which I’d like to add if possible. I wouldn’t want users to have to login again to a separate section, I’d prefer to just use the existing accounts database and sessions as they are.

I think Flarum is honestly beautiful which is why I ask.

dpaanlka Beta is going to be released soon so once we get access to the API's we can then say what you need to do. But I'm sure it's entirely possible.

Pretty sure it will be possible, with the API. If not, then an API extension can be made to sync user accounts and maybe group info/notifications.

Yeah, this is something we want to make sure is possible eventually, but there's no "official" solution just yet.

Flarum interns to have a WordPress bridge. So, yes something like that is on pipeline, but, may be, not ready yet.

Hello!

Any updates on this? I would hate for my users to have to create separate accounts for the forum; this is not 1998 anymore. Even giving me an idea of how to set it up myself, if there's a way, would be helpful.

seriousssam Yes, as you can see here on flarum.org, you can log in with Twitter, Facebook or Github. You can find other SSO options, like Steam or Google, in our Extensions tag.
