What advantages does this plug-in offer over Flagrow's?

EDIT:
I will answer my own question. ?
There is a strike system, where a strike can be applied to a user’s post, and a strike record is kept for each user. E-mail registration can be disabled altogether, and accounts can be manually activated in the event of e-mail problems. Age and gender can also be added as fields during registration. In short, it is a fantastic plug-in that pushes the envelope. Thanks Team Reflar!

Hifihedgehog Haha glad you could figure it out. We are going to be splitting this plugin into 2 separate things. The punishment system, as well as the registration system as they are very different things.

Would be great to see users that have been striked get a notification with the details

XxPoNaGeXx it will be included in the standalone strikes ext.

We will be waiting to release the updated version of the registration for beta 8 to come out. @clarkwinkelmann has done an amazing job making the sign up modal much more extendable, so we will be able to more eloquently integrate the new sign up settings.

To combat the current issue(s) with the sign up modal that @Kyrne pointed out above my post, we are going to include an incompatibility/conflict list in our next patch (0.1.5). See this issue for more details to why we are doing this.

      BREAKING NEWS! (LITERALLY *ba-dum-tss*)

0.2.0 will feature a massive overhaul as the Strikes and User Registration features will be split into their own extensions. These changes are planned for Beta 8 as we focus on fine-tuning an ACTUAL User Management solution such as you would normally get with other bulletin board software (Such as Vbulletin, XenForo, etc).

Stay tuned for our next patch as well as more (GOOD) news from Team ReFlar!

I also want to thank and give a shoutout to Team Flagrow for creating beautiful extensions and working with us to provide quality extensions and service to this community!

Ralkage I also want to thank and give a shoutout to Team Flagrow for creating beautiful extensions and working with us to provide quality extensions and service to this community!

You give us too much credit ?

Ralkage ACTUAL User Management solution such as you would normally get with other bulletin board software (Such as Vbulletin, XenForo, etc)

Sounds like an amazing idea, any list of features we can expect?

luceos I'm guessing they mean things like feeling a user from the admin panel, changing their email address and username, etc... @Ralkage is that right?

          luceos

          Planned Features (?):

          • Search for user you wish to view basic information about (just as you would use the control list on their profile) but this will also allow hooks into other extensions to show various other configurable data/settings (such as assigning a rank to a user and editing their up-vote/down-vote count manually via reflar/gamification).
          • Options to soft-delete/hard delete user.
          • Options to create a new user, edit their email address, change their username (basically what @Frink stated above).

Most of this stuff is already in Flarum but there are also other missing features (such as creating users through the Admin CP without user interaction (for testing purposes or whatnot)). People/Forum Administrators mostly prefer to do Administration related things through the Admin CP anyways, though, I may stumble into features that aren't present in Flarum currently with regards to User Management, but we'll see. But now that I think about it, would people even prefer or care if User Management handled what can be done in the front UI in the Admin CP instead? If not then I don't see why User Management would be needed at this point ?

          0.1.5 ?

This patch focuses on temporarily addressing #20 as well as updating information in some files.

I have also updated the README.md with the following:

          • Fixed spelling.
          • Added compatibility list (see #20 to why this was added).
          • Changed GitLab links to GitHub.
          • Fixed shields.

          Updating ?

          Please run:

          composer update reflar/user-management

Please allow Bazaar 60 minutes to pull the update!

Hello I am running flarum 0.1.0-beta.7 and whenever I try to install it and enable it, it crashes all of flarum, I only have the default extensions enabled/installed and nothing else.

boot Have you tried clearing your cache? Also, please post the output of php flarum info

I don't think this is a cache issue as when you go to the homepage it shows an error saying something went wrong.

But here is my php flarum info:

boot Ok. In config.php, can you set debug to true instead of false please? Then, when the error occurs again, click on the Debug button, and copy the text in the debug screen and paste it here please

Frink Very strange, when I installed it the same error happened (no matter what page you go to), but when I turned debug mode on the error disappeared, and after I turned it back off it stayed stable??? I guess that fixed it, thanks for your help!

boot yeah, that usually fixes that issue, I forget why but I was just about to reply that after you turn debug mode off again you shouldn't get that error message (unless something else is causing your site to break) ?

Thank you, @Frink for the assist!

Well devs, it appears we have another of these strange debug mode issues.

                  12 days later

I am running the current beta and I am having problems in installing the extension. It appears that when I try to activate it, I receive an error (500) and I can't install it.
