This is not what most people are interested in when it comes to Wordpress Integration. I would bet most, if not all, of the people interested in integration are wanting to be able to replace the commenting system of WordPress with threads on Flarum.

This wp-plugin does just that with Discourse. SSO is included in that plugin but it isn't a requirement of it the plugin and all of the other stuff is arguably more important than the SSO portion (more important in relation to Wordpress integration features)

The way I solved it is by styling flarum to the style of my custom WordPress theme, the downside is that existing users of your WordPress site will have to create a flarum login, I think.

I've done something similar on my own site. The main domain is based on WordPress, and the Flarum site sits inside a sub domain. The difference with me is that I do not allow logins on the WordPress site.

It would be nice to have a plugin for wordpress. Discourse while also being in beta mode.

such a plugin would bring a lot to Flarum:

better visibility
a higher adoption rate

this would actually include more donations for more sustained development

it would be interesting to create this plugin for Wordpress being also said that it is the most used CMS in the world

This would bring a significant value to Flarum and would undoubtedly give him what is sorely lacking: a simplified integration

The plugin could be simple at first and then evolve to something more "pro" once the stable version in place.

It would be interesting, in my opinion, to give him the following abilities:

synchronization of members
-- sso later
post a summary of articles on the forum in a chosen category
-- later possibility to choose the category
possibility to use Flarum as comment space (in connection with the point above) at first with a button that brings to the forum
-- integration of comments made on flarum later to the blog

It could be good to make a plugin for the 3 most used CMS (Wordpress - Joomla - Drupal) in order to give even more visibility and thus to drain a bigger community to finally have a visibility as big as phpbb for example

Imho it would be pretty to integrate with a community subplugin as BB Press integrates with BuddyPress

I'm not a developer of it, but I know that one plugin is in development. I've had an opportunity to test it and it's really solid, better than Discourse. Before a release, it only remained to polish the comments section.

As I said, I'm not a developer of it and I hope the author will get to you all here soon.

So yes, for other people interested, my premium extension for Wordpress integration should be ready soon (now targeting this coming week). I'll create a discussion under Extensions here when ready. In terms of login integration, it goes a lot further than the existing open-source Wordpress login extension (it includes global logout for instance).
