Extension update and namespace change

A new version of this extension including a new feature have been released. As previously written in the Flagrow anouncement, the updated Flagrow extensions are moving to FriendsOfFlarum.

The Flagrow version of this extension has been marked as abandoned and will no longer receive any update. Switch to the FriendOfFlarum version to get the new features, updates and fixes.

Updating from Flagrow

To upgrade from the old extension to the new one:

composer remove flagrow/user-directory
composer require fof/user-directory

Then enable the new extension in the admin panel.

Features of the new 0.3.0 release

Added option to add a link from homepage side menu, fixes FriendsOfFlarum/user-directory3
Fixed mobile menu positioning, fixes FriendsOfFlarum/user-directory26

@clarkwinkelmann not sure if anyone else experiences this, but when I press F5 to reload the /users page, I receive the below in the logs

Next ErrorException: Route flagrow_user_directory not found (View: /home/inoculrn/discuss.guruwall.com/vendor/fof/user-directory/resources/views/index.blade.php) in /home/inoculrn/discuss.guruwall.com/vendor/flarum/core/src/Http/RouteCollection.php:99

[deleted] that's odd, because I don't see any remaining reference to flagrow in the code.

Maybe you have the previous version of the view cached ? But this shouldn't happen because the view namespace changed as well in the new version.

Did you try clearning the cache ? php flarum cache:clear

EDIT: I just tested locally, I can't reproduce on version 0.3.0

clarkwinkelmann Yes, cleared the cache. Doesn't happen when clicking the reload button, but does when the entire page is loaded.

Because we have so many reports I opened an issue at GitHub FriendsOfFlarum/user-directory29 but I still have no idea if the problem originates from User Directory or the JSON API library... Any help to investigate is welcome!

I see that you restrict all pull requests with translations changes for this plugin on GitHub. Why ? and how we can support you with translations ?

Awilum we will have an official guidance on that at some point (we might already have written about it, but I can't find any link), basically we're delegating translation to language pack maintainers.

This frees us from having to verify and maintain translations we can't understand. The release flow is also simplified, because we don't have to worry about publishing partial or broken translations ourselves, and language packs can implement and verify translations in their own languages a lot quicker than we could.

When viewing a user menu in the user list, the menu is below the shaded part. Is this just a z-index issue? Is it just my forum?

010101 when I open a user menu with a small/mobile viewport on my Desktop Firefox, I don't see any backdrop at all.

What browser/device does this happen on ?

Could this have a link to the modal issues of beta 9 ? Though there should be no modal here, unless you opened a modal previous to going to the user directory.
