Hello. I am a bit confused, even after reading most of the thread. How/where are you supposed to see that list? And it this supposed to be a list of all users, registered? This extension shows no users for me (I have 6):

All I am trying to do, is to be able to see, block, remove users from my Forum. Is that the right extension?

A list of all users is available since stable under the admin area. To delete them you will still need to visit the profile by clicking the username in the second column of that table.

Question about the online status in the user list.

my profile settings are set to hide my "online" status
when I visit the user list it shows that I am currently online (and probably the last time I was online)
my user role: admin

Do others see my online status even though I disabled this on my profile?

phloo this isn't related to this extension.

"Always view user last seen time" is the core permission that allows administrators to see the online status of all users.

You can visit as guest or create a test account to verify this works correctly if in doubt.

phloo Admin and moderator always see when any user is online irrespective of their settings. The settings only apply to other users.

Thanks for the info. Well, it may be a core permission but it is shown in a custom extension 🙂

Hi @FriendsOfFlarum, I notice that when this extension is enabled with Create User Modal, it moves the "Create new user" button under the user profile to the user directory:

May we have a setting option to also show it under the username again?

ethanosullivan that's a behavior from the Create User Modal extension. FoF User Directory has no control over it, it just provides an area where other extensions can add buttons.

I'm not really sure I want to add a setting to such a simple extension. I could show it in both places at the same time, but the idea was for the main placement to be on User Directory, and the dropdown is just a fallback for when the user directory isn't available.

Suggestion: What about, if installed, the user directory search will also search the text in the user bio? 🥺

010101 extensions can easily add search gambits and filter parameters, but unfortunately I don't think we have a proper way to extend the full text search of Flarum at this point. If two extensions try to replace the full text search driver for users, then only one of them will be taken into account.

So I'm not sure it would be safe for this extension to replace the core full text search driver.

After enabling it, the default search options will be placed on "Search all users for ...", like:

Normal user behavior is to type and then press Enter immediately, and this will lead them to search users and show them the User Directory page...

Maybe it is better to remove this search option? Because without the extension, we can still search other users, like:

But if the developers of the extension removed this option completely then probably no one would cry for it.

I think it would be better not to remove it, but just to make the default search option when you type and hit enter to search discussions rather than users.

I have update to 1.1.0-beta.1 version but there is a bug. I search and finds user then I remove search input area but it does not list all users. Searched users continue to appear on the page. It should show the all users and return to default when we remove search.

I'm on the latest official version and I see some slight layout issues with elements not very well aligned:

IanM The controls are now well aligned both on desktop and mobile, thanks 🙂 I still see the reload button on my iPhone on a second line under "Filter Groups" though and I think all three buttons can be on the same line to save space but that's really minor, thanks again.
