I searched the forum but could not find any post about keyboard navigation. IMHO this is an important feature for "power users". This thread is just for collecting ideas. I don't think and know if it could be implemented with an extension.
Help:
A small keyboard icon is displayed in "desktop" view somewhere. E.g. in the top bar or in the right corner of the screen.
When pressed the user sees an overview similar to this:
My idea for usable shortcuts:
Global:
focus search bar: / or s
move to next or prev. list item: j/k
focus sidebar: shift+s
open notifications:: n
* user menu: u (upper right corner with your user name)
In thread list view
focus tag sidebar: t
mark all as read: shift + m
sort the list: l
follow thread: f
In thread:
un/follow thread: f (toggle)
ignore thread: i
jump to to first post: shift + k
jump to next unread post: shift + j
reply to selected post: r
reply to thread: shift + r

- save changes: ctrl + enter (already working)
- preview post: ???
- fullscreen: ???
- minimize: ???
This is obviously just a very vague first draft. Would be nice to have a solid UX idea before someone starts coding.
