Hello Flarum community!
Among a lot of other behind-the-scenes work that we've been doing lately, I'm brainstorming ideas for a revamped admin permissions interface for a future version.
My impression is that the current grid interface is powerful, but quickly gets unwieldy when you have a lot of tags and groups and extensions adding their own permissions. It's very inefficient to have to select groups for each individual permission whenever you restrict a new tag. And it's not even entirely clear/intuitive how tag-specific and global permissions interact.
In order to make the new interface as best as it possibly can be, we need to learn about different use-cases! So, I'm calling upon you guys:
How do you have permissions set up for your Flarum community? Feel free to post a screenshot of your permissions grid if you're comfortable — otherwise, if you can describe the whole or part of your configuration (tags + groups + permissions), that would be very helpful.
