Senpie I do believe that the ability to install Flarum without the need of ssh would allow more individuals to break utilize to software and even develop for it. Most people who own forums use competitor software such as MyBB which can be install out-of-the-box with no ssh access.
Blueh there are many shared hosting service that offer ssh acces anyway, you will can install flarum without ssh access when it is ready, I think
Prosperous The reason why things are the way they are at the moment is because Flarum is still in beta. The forum software will definitely be made available in the normal method sooner or later. This has been explained numerous times throughout the forum so please do a quick search if you want more information or a more elaborate answer.
Prosperous I completely understand. We just have to give the developers some time to get everything to that stable release as it will not be made available in the traditional method until then.

As I was thinking, to Upgrade, use Composer on LocalHost and Upload the changed files to your Site but, Idk.
