r4nchy This feature is very much needed, as beautifying discussions and posts is very difficult with bbcodes
In my opinion BBCode already offers too many possibilities to "beautify" posts. I have rarely seen cases where the deliberate choice of color of your text, font size or typeface really improves the presentation of thoughts.
Always remember that your contribution will not stand alone like a flyer. Rather, it will become a piece of content in the flow of content from other people. Constantly changing text attributes are a strong distraction from the perception of a post, unless these changes fall within a very limited range of contextual enhancements such as headings (used sparingly), quotes, special presentation of code blocks, etc.
Even bold and italic text can easily be abused if applied to massive and in cases where it's not appropriate. And everyone has been annoyed at one time or another by the bad habit of SCREAMING BY WRITING LONGER CONTENT IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
What do you think a newspaper would look like if every author of articles had to choose his own typeface, font size, font weight for himself, instead of being bound by the publisher's standards? Many publishers go even further and provide style guides to further improve consistency within their products.
But that's just my two cents.
