Allow me to chime in slightly.
You posted a quote that came directly from Toby himself in the original post on this discussion. That's come straight from Toby, the founder of Flarum. Isn't that enough? You don't seem to require a more specific answer and are happy to receive a "we're still working on things" note as per your words in the quote below.
That's what we know. But if I can expect anything more specific I would be glad. If no, I don't even expect any answer.
Well, there it is... You've answered the question yourself.
There is also another core developer on the team you have forgotten to mention, jordanjay29. He has posted quite a descriptive discussion outlining what we have achieved in 2017 and what is yet to be achieved in 2018. The discussion is entitled Community Update - 2017 Year in Review. I would recommend reading up on that just to give you an idea of what plans are in place for this year and what the developers are all working on. Do you take notice of the progress on GitHub? You've been around long enough to understand that both Toby and Franz have commitments in real life that does unfortunately surpass the priorities of Flarum. It has been commented on time and time again and there is no real difference now.
I've been posting on numerous discussions where people are asking for ETAs and want to know more about when the next update is available. Well, in your words alone, the next release is due in {{timespan}}.
I want to move on from smart ass posts and trying to start a keyboard war with anyone.
Flarum has come a long way since it was first established and in that time more people have joined the staff team, myself included. Each of us have designated jobs and duties we are expected to meet to ensure the smooth sailing of this forum. The core developers are no different. I personally try my best to keep this forum clean and tidy from spam and as organised as possible; after all, this forum is the support or community forum (whatever you wish to call it) that will act as a library for as long as Flarum exists.
I want to move on from everything and will kindly ask to prevent mentioning specific members of the team unless it is something of importance or relevance and not just to gain their attention. It is not something they haven't read before. ? Let's work together instead of against each other. I'm happy to comment on anything further if you want to discuss it @amdad.
I have used Flarum in my own personal project since I joined and it has never encountered any issues knock on wood so far. I must admit I don't use extensions but that's probably my saving grace. You can definitely go ahead and use Flarum in your own instance with the same positive results. If things screw up, you've got thousands of people here ready to help you out and offer their assistance.
