  • My Pusher extension is not showing instant updates

My Pusher extension is not showing instant updates , please help .
I've already tried everything described here previously but nothing worked.

luceos I've configured pusher extension properly. And have already tried the previous solutions described in this forum(Leaving the cluster blank) but nothing worked. In particular new replies are not being displayed as they are posted we have to refresh the page to see new replies.

Kyrne I meant that I have tried leaving the cluster blank as prescribed in another pusher extension problem thread but even after doing that my problem didn't solve .. (I've also tried by filling the cluster but it didn't work either)

ShrikantSaxena I just tested it myself on your site and it worked.

Also, please don't spam your discussion, Luceos has a life outside of Flarum and is probably busy and/or sleeping.

Kyrne First = It is not working and I'm not lying.
Second - Why you are caring for Luceos that much ? Let him reply to me if he has any problem with me asking him solutions about the errors
Third = You guys are good for nothing man I have read many discussions here and Luceous was not able to solve any issue discussed in them.

Fourth= I'm not spamming any one just simply asking for solutions to my problem which pretty much relates to you guys I'm not advertising something again and again so it's not spamming!!!

I think you're pretty rude to the people who try to help solve your problems. As you think I'm not doing any good anyway don't expect any further support from my end. Good luck, I hope your issues will be resolved soon anyway.

            ShrikantSaxena

            1. Worked for me, and I'm not lying

            2. I care for Luceos this much because he has been a huge help for me in the past but, the things I said to you I would also say to anyone.

            3. We aren't miracle workers, we can't solve your problems instantly

            4. I would call two posts within 3 hours spamming. Spamming doesn't necessarily have anything to do with advertising.

If you would still like support, I'm happy to provide it, I just need you to cooperate and to not bite the hand that feeds you.

Kyrne 1- Basically you are saying that I Shouldn't post something twice in the period of 3 hours even when I know that other forum members are online and just ignoring my post because they don't know the answer. ?

2- I even don't expect normal expertise from you guys miracles are far away you are not up-to that level , But you should not take ages also.
I mean who cares if you guys can solve ones problem after 100 years does it make any sense ?

3- I'm not doing any harm to your dearest most loved one (Luceos) who has helped you in someway in the past ,
And if you think that tagging someone and asking him/her something is something that should not be done then please go ahead and post the same reply to other threads also where people are tagging him again and again.

The flamebaiting needs to stop. The folks here who offer support are doing their best, we are not an enterprise shop who offers paid support and professional expertise. This is community support, and I understand the frustration that comes with technical problems, that does not excuse the disrespectful behavior and attacks I've seen in this discussion.

As to the questions posed, ShrikantSaxena:
.1. Just because someone is online does not mean they are obligated to respond to your discussion. They may be stuck on your problem, they may be doing research, someone else might have jumped in, etc. As I said above, this is not enterprise level support, you are not paying for this. Patience is critical, and as a general rule of thumb, I would refrain from bumping your topics for at least 24 hours.

.2. See above about community support. You're right, you should not expect miracles, but that also means you should not expect mind reading. You've posted that Pusher isn't working, but when I asked you to describe what behavior you're expecting you did not respond.

Both luceos and CDK2020 posted it was working, primarily because they can see that the Pusher script is active on your forum, something that would not occur if Pusher was disabled or not connected properly. They were not trying to call you a liar, they just saw it working and didn't understand why you didn't see the Pusher behavior. Either you're not aware of how Pusher performs (it notifies of new posts when on the All Discussions page) or there's some client-side problem that's stopping the script for you (like Privacy Badger, NoScript, etc).

Instead of attacking luceos and CDK2020, it would have been more productive for you to inquire further or describe the behavior you were seeing. "It's not working" does not describe the problem and, quite frankly, is useless for diagnostic purposes. Tell us how it isn't working, do you encounter an error, is the script not running, do notifications of new posts not occur on All Discussions, what?

.3. This is a blatant and outright attack. I warned you in your other discussion about following the Community Guidelines and I expected you to read them. If you had, you would have found the rule that harassment is not allowed and this item in your latest post is a clear cut case. I've placed you on suspension for 24 hours as a result, you may return and post after that time but I expect you to follow our Guidelines and treat others with respect.

If you have a problem with anything I've said here, you can find me on Gitter and speak with me privately @jordanjay29.
