Users cannot sign-up - SMTP email doesn't work for me

If I register him the 2nd time it says this: The username has already been taken. The email has already been taken.

That is so odd.. Seems the values you enter to sign up with are incorrect, but it does not give the reason why.

Yes obviously it will give an error on the third attempt, because the user exists by then. My guess is that the issue is caused by connection problems with your mail settings. Perhaps try to use a temporary mailgun (or alternative) to see whether that works.

luceos It's too complicated need to add DNS configs and verify domain....takes a lot of time.

We even cannot see or know what is the problem. I'm going crazy from all these things. Simple SMTP...it's 1st time I face such problems with the SMTP configs. The sign-ups don't work and nobody knows what is going on and why it happens ?

I already used all my 5 emails for the test and even don't have emails to test....

nextnext1 that's because the local server is handling the mail sending. This is fine as long as you've set up your SPF record correctly to include the IP of the server.

And without in-depth, hands-on investigation it's pretty tough identifying such a complex issue. Especially because credentials provided by your host is changed at whim by them, 587 vs 25 as port for instance. They should know how to configure this. I'm still blaming their set up somewhere, but I can't be sure.

BTW, where do I see all the sign-up members and their emails and can remove them if needed?
