I'm curious how well Flarum scales. Whats the most busy/active Flarum you know of?

luceos That's sad. Not near active at all. ? Discourse powered forums however, many examples.

Hoped for a few, as it in some cases, hints as to how effective the UI and notification/user system etc is in retaining users and promoting activity. I'm running a test with both and find a lot more Flarum signups pass right through, sign up and then that's it. Whereas Discourse seems more effective at user engagement.

No matter how good Flarum looks, its success will probably be determined by how successful forum owners can be in converting traffic to active users.

By default Discourse still installs the beta version. ? But point taken. N' I think Gmail seemed cooler with the darn 'Beta' tag. ?

Surely there would be a couple of examples out there but the beta tag is probably the only thing holding large communities back for the time-being. I strongly assume that many administrators are weary to put in the time to convert to a newish software only to have to revert back to the original choice if things did not work out (whether or not that happens to Flarum of course, I am just making a point).

Perhaps once we get through the new and improved roadmap we will see more and more communities convert to Flarum.

Many people already including myself have been using the software without any flaws whatsoever but as mentioned above, have a look through the Showcase your Flarum topic for some good examples anyway. Even though the majority aren't huge communities you can sort of gauge the activity from its members. I don't really find a direct correlation between forum software versus community engagement though; surely any forum software can meet the next one with the right extensions or modifications, right?
