Hello, I truly have not a clue why this is happening? Any tips on how to fix?

Welcome !

As the command suggests the directory where you're trying to install Flarum is not empty. You probably have a default index.html file or similar in that directory.

You can check the content of the directory with the ls -lA command. You can remove a file with rm <filename>. Don't hesitate to post the output of the ls command here if you're not sure you can delete the files you find ?

You could also create a new /var/www/flarum directory and install there insead of the default html folder. This would require a little change in the apache VirtualHost configuration to point to the new directory.

It's a bit strange you have a .git directory in there. Did you try installing something else before ? This would suggest you installed something from a Git repository.

You can delete the directory with rm -rf .git (it's deleted permanently !)

gonzalezx600 you need the mbstring extension. You can probably install it with sudo apt install php-mbstring

You can create codeblocks by using 3 backticks before and after (```)

gonzalezx600 Again, it looks like you're missing php extensions. The zip extension can be installed with the php-zip package on Ubuntu.

If you see the words "missing" and "extensions" in a PHP error, the next word is probably the name of that missing extension, and the command to install it on ubuntu is one Google Search away ?

You're not using sudo anymore? This must be a permission issue.

They way to fix it depends on how you configured your web server. You might want to use the chown command to change the owner of that folder to your SSH user or web server user. Or you can also use chmod to set that directory word writable. Each solution might have security implications depending on your setup.
