Fact, Iframes makes things simple. But also make it limited.
Do you plan to build embed plugin on pure JS driven. Or just left API for that matter so we can do all magic ourselves in preferred framework/vanilla way?

So wouldn't be a huge stretch then to leverage embed. Just a small custom wordpress plugin, maybe a little flarum api magic to create discussions from blog posts and its pretty much what I was looking for :thinking_face:

You can disable blog replies and add a " Discuss " button at the bottom of the blog. Which takes to a thread on the forum where you want the discussions to takes place.

From another world. And here it comes another question from another story.
How do you think, as far Flarum is for open flow discussions driven by Markdown and empty field. Is there a reason/way to think flarum can be used with custom form (category specific) for more predefined things.

Like ie. Reviews with defined fields and rating system?

I just asking about philosophy part of it. Do you think Flarum can be used this way? Or just for "freestyle" discussion. Where website oriented forms should be part of website itself, instead of Flarum based "commenting system".

Just imagine second Tab in Reply form with optional/required fields widgets to fill. It would add to discussion more organised fashion. With help of predefined styling it would add some layer to communication. You know, Custom post types thing.

amdad I'm evaluating Flarum for the same reason... I want a community that anyone is able to create questions, blogs and evaluate ecommerce products (every product is a post itself)...

In my list I have reviewed:
- Discourse (a headache to be installed and maintained)
- Vanilla Forums (ugly code and unstable in my opinion)
- Flarum (check still in progress... )

But I have found something... that I'm thinking to use... just wrapping the API to a backend with API like worpress comments...

Flarum is an SPA and everything is done via the API. So you should be able to use that same API to build a Flarum "client clone" with any JS library ?

amdad you should be able to control access at the webserver level with simple origin headers. By default you can't consume an API that's not on same domain client-side.

You can also use a web firewall to block IPs or referrers if needed.

Flarum extensions could also be used to add further custom restrictions.

Why not just use Flarum as your blog?

That is what I am doing, and its insanely faster than my old WordPress blog.

I know flarum is not designed as a "blogging" platform but I have had great results and am getting some good returns from search results using the seo plugin.

rob006 perhaps not so great, I agree, but my site doesn't allow insecure ciphers for obvious security reasons.

In addition, the SEO extension is also needed which I am running. I'm not pretending flarum is a replacement for a blog at all, but it's definitely better than WordPress.
