Depends on what you mean by push notifications.

Flarum comes natively with a Pusher integration extension, which you can enable and use immediately upon installation of Flarum. This puts the yellow bar on top of the All Discussions page to notify you of new replies and discussions.

You can also install other extensions.

There's a OneSignal integration here. Not sure if it's working on the latest Flarum version or not, though.

If you're on mobile, here is an Android/iOS app for mobile push notifications.

And a search on Flagrow.io came up with these and a few other push extensions you might want to take a look at.

chrisonline If you read my post above, you'll see there's no specific extension for Chrome desktop notifications, nor those on mobile (not sure if the mobile app I linked is still working, either).

And as of Beta 8, I don't believe any of the notification extensions have been updated for it yet, so they won't work.

Want to migrate from Discourse to Flarum, but I need the Push on the mobile phone for the users with "Chrome Desktop Notifications" like Discourse does.

Do you know any plans to add this native to Flarum?
I think this is a must have feature who should work out of the box today.

Anyway I will try to install now Flarum and will check this plugin.

It's likely far from being a priority. It would be an extension anyway, either bundled with Flarum or by a 3rd party. I guess someone would be available to build one on commission 🙂

Anyway I wonder why this has now priority in times where most users are using there mobile phones for such forum.
Sending mail to inform you about an update seems to me very old school ;-)

chrisonline the development team isn't currently focusing on new features in general, actually. Email notifications are there but they still aren't translatable and don't support things like unsubscribing. It's just that resources are limited and there are many things that it's important to do as early as possible. You can find more in the official roadmap.
