meetdilip Thanks. However, the issue hasn’t been resolved. Since installing/upgrading a couple extensions (see post above), php fpm keeps crashing at irregular intervals. Nothing in the logs (full verbosity). No mem shortage that I can see.

Anyone got a suggestion for how to fix this? Otherwise, I’ll roll back the latest extension modifications.

Uh oh. Mailgun announced today that they will terminate their free 10K mail/month plan. Any suggestions to keep FreeFlarum up in the air without accumulating costs?

Sanguine Sendgrid is 100/day but I don't know if that's enough for your service. The only other option I'm aware of is self-hosting which would incur cost in and of itself because of needing a server for it.

Sanguine if you can guarantee long term free-of-charge services, I'd say reach out to Mailgun about sponsoring, I am going to do the same for Flarum.

luceos Ouch, that sucks, if needed I'd be happy to setup an account on my API/SMTP based mass mailer (open source version of Mailgun/Sendgrid)

10k emails on Amazon SES costs about $1 - it's is not free, but you will probably waste more time/money on searching free alternative.
