Sanguine the objective of helping people to create online communities seems not, as most users aren't really running an active forum.
Sanguine This free service will not provide uploading of custom files (apart from avatars). But in the future, the paid version might do so.
There you go. No way to upload a file (even just an image, like a screenshot) to use in a post is currently holding me back.
I did not realize flagrow-upload was not installed when I signed up 1.5 hours ago. Maybe there is a way for you to limit the file types (ie. images only) and file sizes?
I am interested in running a small forum that is used for support and informational purposes, and being able to post a Tutorial with screenshots is a must.
My initial decision to try FF was simple: my small project is not yet creating revenue whatsoever, so to pay for hosting is not practical.
My decision to use Flarum is the sheer simplicity of it... easy to set up, extend, modify, etc. and it seems extremely lightweight and fast. And better to switch from Discourse to Flarum when my forum is so new ;P
