Techout592 that's strange, I've now experienced the error too. Setting the encryption to nothing seems to make the mail arrive fine, but as long as I use a "ssl" or "tls" encryption, it fails to initialize. Changing the port refuses the connection. This might be a limitation of Flarum's mail server.

Does it work now? It worked for me

Techout592 could you try registering a new account to see if the error happens only for your user?

Yep it's just for my user. My other user (logged in with discord) worked fine

It's not my mail server though as I have just received some emails. So not sure why it's doing this

That's strange... Perhaps your mailbox refuses the mail? That's all I can think of, as specific user accounts shouldn't have mail errors?

The mail setup for your forum is the default FreeFlarum's mail server (not a custom one, as the IP is 127.0.0.1). So it might be a bug in FreeFlarum too, although I don't think that as other users can receive mail alright.

What about logging in with Discord? Does that work?

Yeah it does but the problem is my discord account isn't my admin account.

Techout592 I've manually reset your mail settings completely. If it still doesn't work, I can make your second account (or which you have access to) admin, so you can check the settings

Still the same. Would you be able to make me admin on Techout-107 please.

Techout592 Would you be able to make me admin on Techout-107 please.

          Done

Techout592 FYI I no longer see any server-side logs, so I think that there is something wrong with your mailbox (where the mail is sent to). It might refuse the mail, you could verify this by setting the E-mail of your main account to eg. GMail one.

The mail usually get's sent to my mail server but i did have some issues with it recently

Techout592 the E-mail of your primary account uses your own domain. You can change the E-Mail address of your primary account by logging into your second account which I've made admin, going to the profile page of your mail account, clicking on "Edit" and setting the E-Mail address to a different one. If you have just 1 GMail address for example, you could set your second's account E-Mail to something random (non-existing, as you don't need it ATM) and setting your primary's account address to your GMail address (just so that there are not 2 same E-Mail addresses). I hope that you understand what I mean

Edit: FreeFlarum also received an automatic reply E-mail originating from your E-mail, but it was sent into spam, which makes me think that there is something wrong with your mail server more now. You should check its settings

@SKevo I want to send a welcome email to an user after confirming their email different from email verif. email

SKevo Oh interesting. I'll investigate this more. Thanks again for all of your help

lakshya that's not possible right now, an extension would need to be created first to allow that

Techout592 no problem, let us know if you need more help

@SKevo 💝 for your patience. Not only do I think that is admirable, it's also something to look up to. Even though I do not use FF, I thank you for being such a valuable part of our ecosystem, of our community. I think @Sanguine couldn't have picked a better partner.
