I have successfuly connected my domain to my forum. A few things to note though:

You can use root (@) domain with CNAME record, but with restrictions that are limited to DNS (or you can't use it at all): https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/why-cant-a-domain-s-root-be-a-cname-8cbab38e5f5c/
You do not need to wait 24 hours - I have connected my domain in 3 minutes. But there are a few "exotic" registars.
Other forum mustn't use same domain root (an error message would appear in that case)

You are trying to CNAME root to FreeFlarum, which is not possible. You should use a subdomain (such as forum.xinbang.tech and anything.christiantalkforums.com, instead of root domains.

SKevo Unfortunately, until now, freeflarum's forum service is still inaccessible in China. The speed test service https://tool.chinaz.com/speedtest/, which is commonly used in China, shows that it has timed out nationwide. But freeflarum.com is still running well, which allows me to download the forum database

I’m trying to change into my custom domain, and it reflected the same error as above which was “Oops! xinbang.tech does not CNAME to xinbang.freeflarum.com”.
May I clarify if I key in all the info correctly or it is normal to encounter this error before 24 hours of propagation?

What I keyed in at my domain registra:
Type: CNAME
Name:@
Content: xinbang.freeflarum.com
TTL: 120
(I tried to put a dot at the end, but it will disappear after I save it...)

SKevo Oops I thought that forum.myorg.com is an example, not knowing that it need to be a sub domain.

Chatsong_ looking at your history it seems you are using FreeFlarum. The support tag on this forum is for Flarum as forum software. Flarum is not related to FreeFlarum, which is a hosting solution.

Chatsong_ It seems that it got deleted when we were cleaning up inactive ones, but it's not necessarily gone forever - I just need the URL to know what to look for

JeloLeaks Fixed after clearing the cache.

It seems that when you enable PWA, the forum crashes. I will update all extensions and sync all forums to see if it helps. Since it resolves after cache clear, I don't think that it's actually an issue. Cache is supposed to be cleared sometimes. I will implement a system to do so from the FreeFlarum settings directly, if your forum breaks again.

Also everyone, when you are requesting support please always include your forum URL. We don't know what forum you own or what went wrong otherwise. Thank you

Update: I've reset all my site settings and its back to normal. I would like to know what caused it though.
