If you log in to freeflarum.com you should have the ability to create and download a backup/export.

Do you also have the problem that it sometimes takes a long time before you can send a contribution? In addition, the link to other posts often did not work. So if you click on "reply" the name will not be linked.

When you refresh, the post is there but the response is to [unknown]

It's generating a lot of double postings.....it's as if there is something going on with writes due to a parameter change on the server.

It's happening because older forums were still using the SMTP driver to send mail through FreeFlarum. I have changed it so all forums that had the old localhost mail settings are using the mail driver now (which is the currently supported settings). Please let me know if that fixed the issue

(I will also fix the issue with emails to info@freeflarum.com being undeliverable)

SKevo Hey, I'm Jason from the fahrradwagen community. This problem is still present in a special edge-case. I'm not entirely sure if I should make it public, because the error response seems to contain a subscription token. I'm not sure if this token is something sensitive or not.

Exactly the same error has been appearing again for a few days. Not consistently, but every now and then.

After I "fixed" the forum it runs much better. should I empty the cash regul arly?Shouldn't this run automatically, if it's necessary? What is the background of this Button on FreeFlarum? Please enlighten me 🙂

tom23 clicking on the "Fixup" button at FreeFlarum settings will do 3 things:

It clears Flarum cache (this is the same as going to Admin > Dashboard > Tools > Clear cache);
It migrates the forum database;
It synchronizes the forum with our master forum (if there are new files for master forum for example, then they will be copied/linked over to other forums);

Cache generally exists in order to make the performance and loading times better, so I admit that I am not sure how would this affect the performance, to be honest. As for running this automatically, this is already done during extension/Flarum updates, but otherwise you have to run it manually. This is because running all these tasks drains the server resources, so if it would be ran frequently, it would actually slow down forums

Jason-FaWoWa that email address is to report issues about Flarum core and core extensions to the Flarum development team. If the problem is specific to FreeFlarum, you should contact @SKevo via the FreeFlarum email otherwise he'll never receive the report.

clarkwinkelmann I can't say if it is specific to FreeFlarum or if it's an issue of Flarum. Because I'm only a user, I can't see logs and therefore I don't know. If I need to guess after my short time digging I think the likely cause is Flarum itself or a plugin. But to assist in troubleshooting I will redirect the mail to FreeFlarum. I think @SKevo will then also be able to assist whit the corresponding logfiles if it should be an issue with Flarum.

I just discovered FreeFlarum.

I would like to create my own forum and after having well informed myself, Flarum is the one which seems to me the best. A compatible SSH server + domain name is a significant cost .... Not to mention the installation which can be complex for a beginner like me.

So I would like to know if FleeForum has any limits? Mods ? Number of members ? Number of messages ? Number of topics ? Etc.... And I would like to know if we can put a personalized domain name?
