I'm having an issue with the davwheat Custom Side Nav Links. After enabling it, no matter what I change or add, it goes back to the default settings and any links added disappear. Could some one take a look at this issue and let me know what can be done? Thanks.

Durtdawber apologies for the late response. Could you please tell me your forum URL so that I can have a look? Thanks

Durtdawber I've created a temporary admin account at your forum, and I can see that if you navigate to the extension's settings through the search sidebar, after adding a link, it disappears as you have described.

As of right now, I unfortunately don't know what is causing this because the browser console doesn't log any visible errors (I'll have a look at this later to determine the exact cause).

However, after you reload the extension settings page (e. g.: with F5 key), you are able to add a link and hit the "Save Changes" button in order to preserve them (I've successfully created a couple test links at your forum, they're safe to remove now). I think this is just some weird behaviour with the SPA Flarum uses, but further testing is required indeed. I'll let you know if I am able to find the root cause

SKevo Got a small problem. When I try to delete the test links, it does not activate the "Save Changes" button so the link do not go away.

Durtdawber I see, happens for me too... I've removed them for you. By the way, does any other extension have a similar behaviour where things can't be saved, or just this one?

SKevo Now when I go to Administration, I'm getting a prompt for a "Database Password". I don't think that I was given one on Free Flarum.

SKevo Nevermind. I did a hard refresh on my site and I can get back into Admin. Thanks.

Durtdawber yeah, sorry about that. I've updated all extensions, just in case the bug was fixed. It requires the database to be migrated. Normally, this would be done automatically for all forums, but I've synced yours ahead of time, so it should work now

TeamF done, syncing forums now... thanks for letting me know!

SKevo Thank you for your work!
Would it be possible to add a message during an update? I get message after message on my phone because users think the forum is broken 😃

Yolo I see what you mean, yes it is possible, I think. I'll have a look at it during holidays

@Yolo sorry I had to restart webserver. All forums should be back up now.

User5 I saw your GitHub request, it will have to get some upvotes first before I can include it, sorry

Hello everyone! As the snow falls and the jingle bells ring, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas filled with happiness, health, and heartwarming moments. May your holiday season be as wonderful as the communities you've built here!

Moving towards the holiday season and New Year, I will have some spare time to focus on FreeFlarum more. Specifically, I am considering to maintain an official forum for FreeFlarum related questions and updates. The reason is that (as some of you have pointed out), as this thread grows, it becomes more difficult to keep up with the occasional update posts that are also shared there, as they get mixed in with questions from fellow forum administrators.

You can find the current version of the forum at https://support.freeflarum.com, feel free to register an account there and follow the announcements discussions, so that you are notified of new updates related to FreeFlarum. Please note that the forum is still in a very early stage of development, so please also report any issues you find to me.

For now, this discussion's functionality remains intact, as not everyone is aware of the new forum yet. But as the forum matures, I will also proceed to update all links to this discussion to point to the new forum instead. This thread will then probably be locked, so new communications can take place in its newly dedicated space. Going forward, extension requests will probably be moved there as well, because not everyone has a GitHub account and is therefore not able to upvote them, which effectively defeats their purpose.

That's all for now! Go enjoy your time with families, friends and community, celebrate and have fun together 🎉 🎄

                    Hi!
how can i change my password @freeflarum ?

Steve33 you need to change the password of your admin account (e. g.: the one with ID 1), which will also take effect when logging in to FreeFlarum's settings page (https://freeflarum.com/settings), since they are the same
