Hi guys,
I am facing a problem which I am not able to solve.
Since I am not a computer science guy kindly pardon my ignorance.

I created a forum on freeflarum and linked it with a domain which I had on GoDaddy, it all worked fine, it was just testing.
Then I purchased a domain related to my forum name and deleted the entries from the old domain in GoDaddy, it didn't got delinked immediately but after some hits and trials, now that's delinked.

I am trying to link the new domain which I purchased for this forum on GoDaddy to link to my forum on freeflarum, but its always showing the same error

"Oops! xxxx-forum.in does not CNAME to xxxx.freeflarum.com". (I have replaced name with xxxx)

I really don't know what to do earlier I was able to connect domain etc and it was working like charm.

Is your domain really pointing to your forum and is it CNAME? Also, domains may take even up to 24 hours to update over the internet, so you gotta wait some time, then try again.

If you still have troubles, you can either create a new GitHub issue or reply to this discussion.

Thank you, will wait for 24 hours and let you know..
In forwarding section it is pointing and hence if I put name of domain in browser it directs to forum but the link which gets visible is xxx.freeflarum.com means its a simple forward.
I have taken screenshots, but here there is no means to post screenshots

can this be the issue. I cannot edit this, in previous one and other domain its mentioned as parked and I could even delete that. But this does not have edit option.

I have read the documents and that's how I linked the first domain. when in setting of freeflarum I try to use www.<domain> it shows this error
"Oops! Something went wrong, we are looking into it"

when I skip WWW and simply put domain then its shows CNAME error which I wrote above

I have emailed the screenshots on info@freeflarum.com

itachi Problem resolved, there was a bug in the Letsencrypt client which has been upgraded.

Thank you for the response SKevo . Yesterday, I was facing the same isssue as notified by @itachi above. But I thought I should wait for 24 hours. Today, when I opened, I am getting this error. I don't think it should be my registrar or cloudflare side issue.

My subdomain is ltd.freeflarum.com Let's see if @Sanguine could figure out something.

I am using Cloudflare and used CNAME method for both www and non-www version of my custom subdomain, but when I open my website after 24 hours.. it's showing - "502 Bad Gateway Nginx" Error.

What should I do?

"Bad Gateway" indicates technical problem in either FreeFlarum or your domain registar's gateway (I think). From your steps and what you did, I would say that it's FreeFlarum bug.

Please, reply with your forum name (before .freeflarum.com), so @Sanguine can look into it :)

Edit: Quick Google search showed me this, so be sure to check it.

Fixed another bug for SSL validation. <modded by luceos> is good to go!

By the way, this custom subdomain was set just for testing purpose and after making some modifications, I will use the real production-ready custom subdomain for it. I hope I will be able to do that. If I change the subdomain, will I again have to ask you to fix SSL validation bug or it will be taken care automatically now onwards?

Also, @Sanguine , Can you kindly delete the real domain link from your above comment since this will not work after a while and give 404 ( and hence wrong impression) to my domain. 🙂

Have just updated FreeFlarum with an improved Nginx webserver configuration. Due to the large number of forums, it got a bit slow. Not anymore!

Hey awesome @Sanguine , I just added a few available extension to my forum with backed ltd.freeflarum.com but it is now giving following error -

"Something went wrong while trying to load the full version of this site. Try hard-refreshing this page to fix the error."

Is there any way to do hard-refresh from my side.. or this is something that you can do on your side only?

nanowhiz what extensions did you enable? This happened to my forum too earlier when enabling fof/drafts.

SKevo In fact, I enabled almost all extensions except for 5-7 extension which were non-english. 😃

While it's not working yet and asking me to hard-refresh, I did notice something new at the footer which says - "A free forum powered by Free Flarum (remove)" It asks to make some donation to remove this footer.
While I am completely in support of this concept and do understand why this donation is necessary to run all this.. but here is my issue.

I had this forum previously on my self-hosted server but planning to migrate since the old server credit is expiring. But then I noticed this amazing thing called Freeflarum. Currently, I don't earn any money from this community but I do have plans to make it a nice professional community. For all this, I want to make it white-labeled. I would love to make some donations once I start making some earning or getting some considerable traffic . So, is there any way to be able to remove it?

PS: I can surely donate $5 or something but it feels embarrassing to pay such a low amount for the amazing service you guys are doing.. but I hope you understand my worries.
