Your domain forum.simplestudios.dev redirects me to the FreeFlarum website, that means that the problem is on your side, as my friend had this problem too for the first time setting it up. Unfortunately I don't know how he solved it and I'm pretty sure he won't remember it now, because he is busy doing things. Sorry :/

Edit: From the screenshot, it is quite clear to me that your CNAME points to freeflarum.com instead of tetretalk123.freeflarum.com. But as Sanguine said, you should send us your domain setup for better assistance 🙂.

Fixed: made forum.simplestudios.dev not proxied on the cloudflare network
Edit: After I did this I set it to proxied and it still works so freeflarum does not check all the time if its still the same but it works right now

FYI I have added a custom sync implementation to FreeFlarum that reduces the time to sync the extensions for thousands of forums from 2 hours to 14 seconds. Previously I ran an rsync of the vendor folder, which had a lot of overhead in re-scanning otherwise identical file structures. Now, I build a work list of a small set of raw OS syscalls that is executed for each forum. It saves millions of system calls.

rob006 Logically yes, but it is implemented using hard links, to save on disk space.

rob006 Easier yes, but every forum runs in a chroot for security, so symlinks wouldn't work. Alternatives are bind mounts or overlayfs, but they don't scale well (need to support 1000s of forums).
