kayoo123 That's not how CNAMEs work.
What a CNAME does is, in short terms, show the page that one would find at the URL it is set to.
For example, this wouldn't work, but if google.flarum.org had a CNAME to google.com, it would show Google's page.

And as Ralkage mentioned, you need to add your domain to the FreeFlarum settings.

kayoo123 Not sure how your DNS manager works, but I think you need to remove the A record and just leave the CNAME.
Try using @ as the subdomain as well.

Your CNAME is not correctly configured. Try removing all records except for 1 CNAME record (for the root). And then enter your domain at the FF settings. Nice forum btw!

datitisev SSL certificate is from FreeFlarum.
I'm not sure how FreeFlarum handles that.

Still not working on #step1...
When I put only one records CNAME (without subdomaine) to your host, I've got this pop message :
Failed to update zone RRset castleburn.fr. IN CNAME: Conflicts with pre-existing non-CNAME RRset

This is my BIND config :

kayoo123 Bind software does not allow SOA and CNAME to co-exist for the same name. But perhaps Bind doesn't allow without a SOA record either, I'm not sure. If all else fails, you could try another domain provider? There are quite a few people who use their root domain with FreeFlarum. Or use www.castleburn.fr.

I receive a 500 Internal Server Error upon the click on the Twitter Login after configurating a Twitter App with callback to my customized subdomain and putting in API Key & Secret. Are there any common mistakes I could have made?

EDIT:
Ok, seems that Twitter needs https://mydomain.com/auth/twitter as a callback url.

FYI: FreeFlarum will be migrated to a new server today, due to flakey hardware. You will not have to do anything. Downtime will be a few minutes.

Update: migration postponed to today (22nd August) and has just commenced (10:00 UTC).

Currently FreeFlarum is targetted by a DDoS from roughly 700 Chinese IPs (Alibaba). I'm not sure what their objective is, as they are targeting an empty forum. All requests contain the "Go httpclient" user agent. Luckily for FreeFlarum users, the attack is quite amateurish and there is no noticable impact to the service.

Were the instructions at one point for getting a forum removed? I was looking through this post a little while back, and I remember seeing something, but I can't find it now ?

Frink as far as I know, you'd generally just email info@freeflarum.com, though, you can also download your data as well aka the entire DB.

As admin, create post "DELETE THIS FORUM"
Send notification to info@freeflarum.com and I will purge it manually
