julienlg Sanguine Hi I have disable and renable and it seems working now. Could you have a look to see if problems you mentioned have disappeared ? Regards
Sanguine julienlg Yes, no more crashes in your logs! vaultboy Can you please direct all extension requests here: https://github.com/gwillem/freeflarum.com/issues
Sanguine FreeFlarum is getting a database restart right now, to incorporate the optimizations as suggested here: https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/264871/optimizing-mariadb-for-5-10k-small-databases
vaultboy Sanguine i added a new request. also other two of my requests have 5+ votes, prettymail and follow tags.
Sanguine FYI FreeFlarum is unavailable for a few minutes, as I am upgrading MariaDB server to v10.2.31 to resolve slow startup times.
343151 Flarum encountered a boot error (Doctrine\DBAL\Driver\PDOException) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused thrown in /app/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/Driver/PDOConnection.php on line 31
Sanguine Ugh. As I feared: during upgrade, MariaDB 10.2 keeps crashing infinitely, so I am reverting back to MariaDB 10.1
meetdilip Thanks for the effort. The error now is Flarum encountered a boot error (Doctrine\DBAL\Driver\PDOException) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused thrown in /app/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/Driver/PDOConnection.php on line 31
Sanguine Dear all, I know it is down and I am working diligently to get it back up. Will post ETA when I have more info. Current status: MariaDB 10.2 upgrade has converted all raw database data to an incompatible format, so directly downgrading to 10.1 (the last working verison) is not possible. I am working on a separate server to get a functioning 10.2 server up, to be able to get the latest data from there. Should that fail, I am working simultaneously to restore the latest backup (last night). As there hadn't been a need to restore a backup in the past two years, I need to do some programming to automate this. Stay tuned
Sanguine Recovering the latest data on a secondary MariaDB 10.2 server has proven successful (finally) so I will be pursuing solution 1 for now. Eta 10-20 minutes.
Sanguine The most active forums have been restored, the rest is getting restored alphabetically. Post your forum tag (TAG.flarum.cloud or TAG.freeflarum.com) here if you want to jump the queue.
GhostSlayer Sanguine Im from Finland so it should be fast? Maybe uptimerobot monitoring server is enough far away to show high latencies
Sanguine Gommzy1 Done! GhostSlayer So did you also experience slow responses yourself, or only through uptimerobot?
Sanguine GhostSlayer uptimerobot monitoring server is enough If it's a free service, their servers may be overloaded and their own latency may add up to the final report. Anyway, glad that it is working for you!
GhostSlayer Sanguine Its working good for me (About 400-600ms) but uptimerobot shows it (900-1000ms) And when freeflarum is down, its (200ms) 😄 But i dont care anymore, it loads pretty fast though
