luceos yes, cache folder gets cleared properly (when running php flarum cache:clear from terminal in forum root)

Although when I checked directory permissions, it seems that www-data doesn't own all folders, which might be causing the issue (so, when extensions are enabled they can't create some of their assets, which results in broken translations, maybe?). I have re-set permissions for all forum directories, just to make sure. Hopefully that will fix the issue. But if it doesn't, I can create a temporary admin account at your forum to look into it in more detail (I couldn't replicate it at my test forum), if you agree @orschiro.

        Hello everyone!

        This is a followup to my recent post.

        I am now happy to announce that our provider (Hetzner - thanks for that!) has unblocked ports required for mail sending. This means that your custom SMTP settings should be working now (but just to make sure, if anyone tests this out, please let me know if it works as intended - if that's not the case, please let me know as soon as possible).

        Moreover, SPF, DMARC and DKIM should now all 'PASS' for all E-mails sent from FreeFlarum - I think this was a thing with the old server too, but I had to re-setup it on the current one. This shouldn't break anything, and it should make E-mails more secure, or more unspoofable at least...

        Which extension is responsible for automatically displaying an image whenever pasting a link here?

              I created another forum (philundrob.de). What I noticed, it came with two weird users already registered back in 2021?

              How is this even possible given I created the forum yesterday?

              Bummer, I should have taken a screenshot of them. But I was so irritated that I already deleted them.

              Is anyone able to reproduce this problem?

                orschiro we create forums by copying our template forum's database, which is currently open for anyone to login. These are bot accounts. I removed them a couple of times, but it seems that the old database dump was still lying around and it got migrated to the new server. This means that all new forums experience this. They seem to be inactive, and it is safe to remove them.

                I am currently doing an upgrade of large part of FreeFlarum, which will prevent things like this in the future

                Edit: They're not the same users as I've removed - looks like people just create new accounts. I will have a look at this during the upgrade, as I can't just disable access for it now because some of our tools rely on it

                    Also, a notice for all Outlook users - since we've migrated to a new server, our IP seems to be blacklisted by Microsoft so E-mails targeting Outlook users will not be delivered. The mail setup that we are using is the same (the only thing that changed is DMARC and DKIM, which should make it even better), and it is probably a result of the previous IP's reputation of whomever's server.

                    I have followed the steps provided by both our hosting provider and Microsoft to fix this issue. I am currently waiting for their support to provide me with more information and to hopefully unlist us from the blacklist. Even though I can't fix this on my own, I apologize for all users that are affected by this, and I will let everyone know as soon as this issue gets taken care of.

                    Hi there, I had a question. Is it possible to display the blog on the homepage?

                    Our blog on www.equinemarkt.nl is something that is growing and I'm wondering if it's possible to display this on the homepage. We've got our information on the left (teamlist etc), than our topics/posts etc, and I'm trying to place our blog on the right like some kind of widget.

                    Can someone help me?

                      Equinemarkt as for setting the entire blog as homepage, I believe that's possible in the "Basics" section of admin area. But I assume that's not something that you are looking for

                      So, as for having a blog widget, I believe that would require a dedicated extension which does not exist yet, AFAIK.

                          SKevo Thanks for the quick answer! We don't want our blog to be the entire homepage, because that would stop people for wanting to reply on the rest of our topics. I can wait for that extension to exist in the somewhere future! 👼

                              Equinemarkt if there is an extension that allows you to choose tags to display in a widget, then you could choose the blog tag and I imagine that it would work. I am not sure if an extension like this exists, but I assume not yet.

                              However, I think that it would be pretty easy to create an extension like this - someone could just copy some existing code and modify the API request to fetch blog posts. If I have time, maybe even I could have a look at this.....?
