Prosperous I sometimes sit down and cry with my childhood friend. When we were some small kids, bitcoin was a new thing and when you filled some stupid surveys they gave you 0.4 bitcoins and such. It was basically free. We obviously forgot the address.

A week ago, he sent me a message: "Bitcoin is now 11K$". I'm like, WHAT?! WE HAD- he said, yes, we had. Sometimes we just go down floor, sit down and get sad over a lost treasure from the past. It's like Tomb Raider or Uncharted but virtual money... or not. GOD DAMMIT.

Haha, I thought the same and am kicking myself now that I haven't invested but it's a risky game nevertheless. I have a friend that owns bitcoin and some colleagues who are active in the market with buying and selling so it does look like a fruitful thing to get into.

I think success with these kinds of websites is a lot about timing, and I don't frankly see many forums out there for Bitcoin. Reddit seems to be the main one. If you know anyone else on here or around who'd like to talk about it, it'd be great to see more discussion around on the new site. 🙂

The Battle For the New thing is a Cloudflare app actually, but Cloudflare might be giving me some problems with this software so I'm not sure.

User39 clicking that link gives me a broken page which says: "Something went wrong while trying to load the full version of this site." ?

Edit: Everywhere is giving that error now. Main page also says: "Something went wrong while trying to load the full version of this site.".

Edit 2: CTRL + F5 solved it.

duman Yes this is very weird. I'm not sure if it's a bug with the forum software or something I have done, but there are some glitches where I get 500s errors and things like that. I can't figure out what the problem is. It almost only happens on my end when something in the admin panel is changed, like enabling an extension, etc.

I wasn't sure if it was partly influenced by Cloudflare caching the install page and setting up the website incorrectly (but I somehow doubt that because I get the error sometimes when simply turning off an extension... wtf). I have Rocket Loader and minification turned off, so I'm really not sure.

It seems to correct itself however when it happens. I tried installing the website before and it would never do that, it would remain stuck on a 502 error always. Very odd situation.

User39 Actually you need to clear Flarum cache by running this command in your setup.

php flarum cache:clear

After this clear your browser's cache and it should probably fix the issue.

gurjyot May have simply been a Cloudflare page rule causing some loops... I'll see how it goes.

I often find the problems are hard... because they're deceptively simple sometimes... :/ lol

The measly $1 I accumulated from those free BTC money wheel websites plus the $5 I told a friend to give me in bitcoin just so I could have a wallet, has turned into $350 US . I can't believe how much its jumped.

I also had “force https” already
enabled. That redirects all. I think there was a clash between those and it created a redirect loop on my website and temporarily crashed it in certain cases!

I don’t like visitors going to different urls, some without https, some with. It makes caching worse, isn’t great for SEO, and simply bothers me because it’s not consistent lol.

foros that's like saying cash is used for illegal purposes. Yes, it is, but only because of its characteristics. Bitcoin is not an illegal currency on its own.

Fun fact, you've probably actually touched cocaine already even if you have never handled the drug. It's on just about every paper currency by virtue of circumstance.
