the code was present in forum, i don't remember where it is

rahul If you are not using other theme styles, I think you had turned on the "Colored Header" in the Dashboard of the forum so that your header is not white.

Littlegolden Thanks a lot man. Also, could you help me in permissions tab under create i have kept Start discussions to admin but still in an incognito mode (without login) i am able to see Start discussions button

rahul It is currently not possible to control whether a button is hidden from the user who is not logged in via CSS. You can use Sign Up Button plugin to make this button become "Sign Up" button when the user is not logged in.

Littlegolden OK, I had check without login (as currently I am setting up the forum), I want my users to just read the content and later after sometime I will allow users to login and post.

So, If after login the button is disabled then its fine for me, but can we completely remove the button when i am not logged in.

Also, how did you change the Start disscussion button with signup

I have disabled users to reply, like and flag also restricted user to signup still i can see reply and when clicked it popups login window.

Also, How can i change the text "Search Forum" to "Search Something Else"

            URL :

              rahul

rahul still i can see reply and when clicked it popups login window

This is a issue related to Flarum Core, I think it is better to let Flarum developers like @clarkwinkelmann @luceos to answer the question "Why there is still a reply text box after changing the permission to create discussions to 'Only Administrator' ".

rahul Also, How can i change the text "Search Forum" to "Search Something Else"

              1. Install Linguist Extension.
              2. Go to dashborad.

                rahul Hi Rahul!

Please remember not to tag users for support who are not actively involved in assisting you already. Further, Toby should not be tagged as he has left the Flarum project.

As the continued discussion here has exceeded the original post purpose, I will be closing this discussion and will politely ask that you create a new discussion for your issues so that the community can better assist.

                katos locked the discussion .

Littlegolden Why there is still a reply text box after changing the permission to create discussions to 'Only Administrator'

While I'm here I might as well answer this... I believe this is intended behavior. When you're logged out, it invites guests to post new answers, which will them offer them the ability to login or register.

Once logged in, the field will either allow you to write inside of it, or show a disabled input if you're not allowed to reply.

If your forum does not allow users to reply, I understand you might want to change the behavior so that users don't mistakenly believe they could reply by logging in or creating an account. This could be changed via an extension. Maybe even to some extent via CSS depending on what you prefer instead.

Feel free to open a new discussion if you'd like to discuss this further.
