I have also made an AddClientAssets.php file (see git link https://github.com/ZapTechAdmin/flarum-global-color-changer/blob/master/src/listener/AddClientAssets.php), but what should I use for the namespace? I tried ZapTech\Flarum-Global-Color-Changer\Listeners, but my php debugger had a fit! I also tried ZapTech\Global\Color\Changer\Listeners, and that also didn't work... @luceos is there something really stupid in here that I am not noticing, like last time?

Frink you want to follow the psr-4 autoload namespace you provided in your composer.json as so namespace ZapTech\Global-Color-Changer\listener;.

May I also suggest that you change the listener directory to Listeners in the even you need to add more listeners in the future? Also, if you have not already noticed from popular extensions, you should always capitalize and camelcase (when applicable) your namespaces (PHP class files included) as well as with your folders just to keep up with the standards.

Tidy up your composer.json as well.

Ralkage OK, I will attempt this tomorrow. Sorry about the coding and composer.json, this is my first time actually coding a proper extension, so it will be messy, I will tidy it up as I get better.

OK, I have ran into another problem. I made an AddClientAssets listener, and called that from my bootstrap.php. Now, I am just getting a blank page. Nothing in the logs, debug mode is on, nothing in the console either. I pushed my latest changes to the git repo, so if there are any errors, you would be able to tell in their. Is there something that isn't right?

EXTENSION UPDATE:

It still does nothing. No big surprise, this is my first extension. But, I have gotten it to do this:

Use an addclientassets.php file instead of a bootstrap.php
Created a settings modal (this was like, an insane moment for me)
Created a textbox on the settings modal for you to enter the hex code into

Other than that, it does absolutely nothing. It is still a major WIP. If you want to assist with development, post on this topic, and I will add you as a contributor to the git repo.

This is probably a really stupid thing to post an update for, but there is now a text field below the hex code field explaining what that hex code does. If this is a stupid idea, and not necessary, just let me know below and I will remove it.

It's a good thing to have a text which explain what hex color will change. Maybe, to add separate fields, for example bg, navbar etc, if it's not already there.
Also to add color picker after a box field, to make selecting color easier.

Razor I added the help text. I also set up the local system with translations. Did you clone the git repo to your local computer?

I am planning to add separate fields for different things once I get the first field working ? but until then, it will just be the hex code.

Extension Update! Thanks to the awesome @OrdinaryJellyfish who showed me how to append css code to the head in js, my extension now does something!

Right now, it looks really bad because it styles all the elements the same color, so working on that.

I also haven't updated the admin js files, just been working on the forum ones, so the actual admin side doesn't get styled. Still deciding whether it should or not. Razor I think I am going to add different fields, that way the whole site doesn't end up the same color. I might also take @Pollux advice on my other post at https://discuss.flarum.org/d/9475-global-css-selector/15 and requiring a RGB code, then using the styling that was supplied. Any tips are appreciated!

Nope, i didn't. As i do not have flarum installed on localhost/vps. Looking forward to next update.
Want to know, will this be aviable for all users to use or just admins?

Razor For right now, probably just admins. I may make it available to users later on, but I would have to figure out a way to apply it to just that user's session......

Looking for tips! I have finally figured out how to retrieve the variable that is saved when you press save changes on the setting modal (YAY!). Now, I need some advice. What php code should I use to write the extension.less data to the extension.less file? Or should I have a bunch of already-made extension.less files with different colors, and the user just picks on of those files? In that case, what should I use in the settings modal to do that? How would I add the bootstrapper?

Dafterz There is no way to install plugins without composer, unless one of the core devs know of a way.
