Does this support Flarum v.1.1.1? And does this work if the forum is a subdomain?

    Hari I'm using v.1.1.1 though. I tried sharing the site on Facebook and no forum description or social media image is appearing. I've set up everything except for the sitemap and registration to search engines. I'm thinking that the extension might not be working for any of the three reasons:

    1. I have to install the sitemap extension and register the site to search engines, first.
    2. I'm using an earlier version of Flarum
    3. It will take time before the SEO will take effect.

    Any thoughts on this?

        Goto SEO extension and add social image, make sure you added description to forum. I will post screenshots tomorrow. Now replying to thes using mobile.

              Is there a plan to change this part in the future?

              This extension will also make sure that external links (to other domains) open in a new tab. Currently it is not possible to disable this setting.

              It can be problematic to be stuck with target="_blank" on every link, and to have to choose between this extension and target="_self" if people prefer it.

              Also, a little bug to report: it also opens internal link in a new tab if you write them without the root url (just what comes after the d/).

              mine is not working after the upgrade to flarum 1.3.1.

              I checked the settings, everything seems in order.

              Any idea what might be the issue?

                Is there a way to make it work with with the Blog extension?

                  I fiddled around a bit and got to know my problem better.
                  So I want to share a blog post on facebook, and when I do the image in the link is the image i put in in SEO settings.
                  I want the image to be from the blog post. Any solution?

                  Performance Issue

                  Search engines will understand the discussions and are even able to show some relevant posts underneath the search results. When you have the extension 'best answer' installed and enabled on your forum, it will mark the discussion as 'answered' on the search results and redirect the user to that specific post. However, depending on your server settings, this can be heavier. It may cost some performance, so it depends on how fast your server is to enable this feature.

                  Crawl all posts (it's slower on page refresh, but search results will be better)

                  Any chance you could take a look into this?

                  Our server is completely oversized but still throttles a lot if that is switched on. Better search results is a great but waiting more than 30sec for a discussion to open instead of 1-2sec is not just "some performance" loss.

                    What are "votes" in a Google snippet? I mean, where do they show up on the site - is it the likes of the first post or what?

                              Chihiro that error also happened to other Flarum users who did not use the SEO extension.

                              Try clearing the cache and verify Flarum is able to override/delete all files in the storage folder. It's possible some files are owned by the wrong filesystem user and that Flarum cannot fully clear the cache.

                                    Is there any way to re-generate meta tags (for og:image and description). Someone edited and replaced JPG in 1st post but extension still taking logo as og:image.
