collins it does exactly what the original developer who created it meant for it to do and function like 🙂
FrontPage is its own filter, thus whatever discussion you deem as an item of interest for the "FrontPage" filter gets marked as so and a badge gets applied to it to so you know it belongs to such filter.
To add, this is not the "Super Sticky" extension people have been discussing in this community, this is a custom filter to which discussions can be pushed to and eventually designated as the default "Home Page" in a form of a filter itself 🙂
I cannot explain it any more than this because I already have and given screenshots to accompany the overall use-case.
