I had a successful upgrade on my test environment. I will edit this post once I have completed the upgrade on my production environment. You are all doing such an amazing job...keep up the phenomenal work!!! I am hoping one day to be able to make some contributions myself in the form of pull requests.

@luceos just to report that Bazaar seems to be taking some more time than before to install or unintall extensions in Beta 11. I mean it is ok because we don't do it often but just to report it.

nitaaikumar the more extensions you have installed, the longer it takes. Composer needs to match a larger set of dependencies.

I updated from beta 10 to 11 just fine but I ended up having to use the naked composer update... hopefully that’s OK. Everything seems fine. I believe it just means that maybe some dependencies which didn’t need to be updated, got updated. The reason is, when I used the full fancy update command I got:

The "--with-all-dependencies" option does not exist

I’m guessing an issue due to the way my web host has things set up.

Anyway, just thought I’d mention this in case anyone else has this problem.

010101 Your composer likely needs an update, particularly if it was installed from the OS repositories (via apt or yum).

KimYunz I wonder if you are having an issue similar to what I had. The full update command wouldn't work for me most likely due to the version of Composer my web host has installed. You could try simply, composer update. But, any way that you do it, you will know it has most likely updated correctly if you see "flarum/core" listed as installing and downloading 100% within the list of everything else within your terminal window. If all you saw was that symfony updated then it didn't update flarum core.

Again, super easy upgrade.
Tar GZip folder. mysqldump database. Then run upgrade.
Was fast, and no issues here.

Released v0.1.0-beta.11.1 today to fix the issue with saving css (and many other settings).

Fixed

Saving custom css in admin failed (flarum/core1946)

Run this command in case you are already on beta 11. If you are upgrading to beta 11, this version will automatically be installed.

composer update flarum/core

Confirm you are running the correct version in your admin dashboard or through php flarum info.

luceos To update from Beta.11 to Beta.11.1 you also have to visit your forum and enter database password. At least in my process of update it was requested 😆
