I just tried OctoberCMS. Seems that there is a learning curve from the conventional module positions and modules as in Joomla.

I'll +1 a request for Flarum integration.

I have a gaming guild site I want to redo and Flarum looks great for the forum, but we have a few additional bits that October would be good for.

I've seen the video showing the blog/forum plugin for October, but I think I'd prefer to use Flarum with it, as things stand.

rsmarshall The forum plugin for October is very basic, it's literally only a msg list with no deeper functionality.

I would like to see some form of marriage between the two laravel apps. Please let me know if I can provide any assistance in this. I'm going to begin integration testing/development on my own and maybe later we can compare notes.

I'm asking it because i've already tried the first approach with the api and laravel 5.1.x - i used guzzle for the requests - but i think it's not the best solution, especially because flarum and laravel have a lot in common..

MathisLogemann Post your User Integration. I'm very interested in it.

It won't be an extension, but when it's working, I can post a small how-to. I'm using laravel 5.1.x currently. Probably in the future, I will go to 5.3 and take control of the auth api that was introduced.

This. Basically we will write a small doc on what we did. We JUST upgraded to 5.1.x without issue so that will be what it works best on. Eventually we will upgrade even further.

We are also going to be removing the login/register side on flarum and rely soley on our web app. So if a user wanted to login or signup while visiting the forum, it will redirect them to the main login page. So if you want social login on flarum after that point, make sure your socialite is in order.

October CMS integration huh? It would be a beautiful way to add a sexy CMS with a sexy forum.

Beautiful AND sexy!

Though I would prefer a CMS for the front page stuff in my own community so I could share news, stats, polls, etc.

An beautifully crafted extension would be amazing too.

If October+Flarum came out, I would use october on my website as my main CMS for user, then use flarum as the forum. Looking forward to it!

@DAMNimST0NED are you still using October with Flarum? You mentioned that you'd made some notes on what was needed for the integration. Any chance you'd be willing to share? I'm using October for the main site and as others have mentioned, the current forum plugins available for October are some what lacking. I'd really love to use Flarum for the forum, but not entirely sure where to start ?
