Progressive Web App (PWA) and Push Notifications

New users receive this error notification "You have push notifications enabled, but have not configured this device." prompting users to change their profile settings. Is this a normal function for this extension?

girefko yep, that means that they haven't configured the device to receive push notifications. Should be a link in the popup.

girefko the AlertManager is a Flarum component used by many of the core features as well as by many extensions. Hiding it completely means you won't see many error and success messages displayed by Flarum and community extensions, including many validation errors that can show up when trying to submit a form.

Hi, as I reinstalled flarum, the pwa reported fetch error on the console:
sw:63 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Failed to fetch
at sw:63:16

I am currently using pwa 3.1.3.

Have tried rest Vapid key , not working ( it says 0 subscription has reset)
No potential issues found

GMP installed. Is there any other things i need to check?

Does anyone know why Synopsis rich content (e.g. youtube videos, .mp4...) doesn't work with PWA? Well actually it works, it appears and loads correctly but you can't click on it to play for example the youtube video, it's like for some reason you can't interact, the same thing happens with Post Galleries, where you can't interact either, should that make me think that maybe it's something simple to fix a small bug?

Edit: Thanks to davwheat we have found the cause of this issue, it's not PWA related, sorry for the confusion.

BTW I just tried PWA for the first time what a great job @askvortsov !

Darkle it's like for some reason you can't interact,

It seems might this might actually the inert attribute I added a while back in imorland/synopsisfce0d96 and imorland/synopsis7.

This disables interactivity with the child elements contained within it. The reasoning for this was originally to prevent links and such inside the rich embed taking you to random websites instead of behaving like the rest of the excerpt, which just takes you to the discussion.

Hi,

Thank you for a great extension. But, it seems that when the user install the application on the browser (i.e. Edge in my case), it's not only get the notifications from the forum, but also the notifications from the https://trusted-captcha.top:443 as well. When I checked the site, it says "Replace when code is ready". The problem is the site sometime sent notification about adult-related ads, and very often.

Is there anyone has this problems? Is there anyway to get risk of this?

Cactus1805 The problem is the site sometime sent notification about adult-related ads, and very often.

I have never encountered this problem either. But it seems like your browser is sending junk ads instead of this extension. If you keep receiving junk ads without even open your website, that is nothing to do with the forum , not to say the extension.

Thank you for your feedback. This might happened by a trojan when I installed unverified software, I have to scan my computer now 😅

I used Esotalk before and push notifications was an important feature. Will push notifications work with closed browser? Android and what's about iPhone?
Is the plugin stable?

Push notifications will be added by apple. Chrome, Android, Firefox and Edge support push notifications.
But don't know if there is a working plugin for flarum?
