If only I would be able to use it without needing composer...

What if I don't want it "fully" funcitonal, but only functional (enough)? Should I really use Codoforum instead, while I like Flarum? Not sure what @load posted, but if it was a Flarum instalation NOT REQUIRING COMPOSER, please send it to me! Riiight, Flarum does not allows private messaging...well, I guess you could message me on github, or anywhere else (maybe even here) with a download link for that and I would gladly use it (of course, after checking it for any possible backdoors; better safe than sorry).

Sapioit At this time, Flarum does not offer a non-composer route for installation. One is on the way, however, so have patience.

Sapioit releases on github have a zip. We will not point you to it. But if you're familiar with the platform you should be able to find it. Please note providing support for such installations is minimal and extensions can't be installed.

An installer is being worked on, but we want to do it right the first time. So no guarantee it will be in beta 6 as development has been fixed to a cycle of 6 weeks since beta 5.

Maybe there is some way to get the plugin delivered, from composer, through a caching server, straight to the end-user. Just an idea...

Sapioit Toby also has plans to build in a Marketplace that will allow users to browse and install extensions from the admin panel (as is possible in many CMS packages). This probably won't happen as soon as the installer, but it is something that's planned for the future.

Well, for now I'm pleased that I can use Flarum... maybe, you should also make a small guide for the pople who want to contribute and don't know where to start (looking at the code) from, how it's tought to work, and so on...

MOE please start a new discussion with your question. We gladly try to help you there. You can read all previous release notes (starting with the one for beta 3) to do the upgrade, there is no "immediate step" because your version is lagging behind immensily.
