Is it possible to support svelte framework in extension parts? I am familiar with React, and need to use Svelte in the next project. According to the trends, Svelte is very possible the mainstream front end framework in near future. I mean it is good bet to let Flarum support both Mithril and Svelte for the extension parts.

photonics we decided to stick with mithril after careful deliberation. So don't expect support for a framework that we do not use. However, mithril and svelte - in the end - both generate to raw javascript. So there might be a way to generate Svelte code that compiles to JS that interacts with our frontend; I think one of the other core developers might provide a better answer to that (cc @datitisev).

luceos I'm not sure, but Svelte might not create a virtual DOM like mithril Ford - and even if It did, it'd probably be structured differently (diff API).

You could perhaps try using svelte and custom HTML elements? Not sure if that'd work, but raw HTML is possible with mithril m.trust(...) and I use custom web elements in reflar/inject-mithril-components (or a similar repo name, I can't remember).

      Some updates.

      • The most apparent one; I've installed fof/nightmode which adheres to device settings. Feel free to change the preference in your user settings.
      • Progress on our frontend refactor for beta 14 is great, I'm glad that we're back on track for this release!
      • The Flarum Foundation board had a meeting last Friday to decide on the absolute required features for stable. Getting our priorities straightened out helps in delivering that stable release with the quality we envision without delaying it any further.

Would you also update the existing Carbon 1 to Carbon 2?
      Carbon 1 is deprecated.

It's almost done. It's one of the most impacting releases ever, so we want to do this right.

Past few weeks have been crazy on my end, apologies for the silence. I had hoped to be able to keep posting consistently. Here's what I can report:

          • All core extensions have been readied up for beta 14.
          • Most of the groundwork for beta 14 in core has been finished.
          • An upgrade guide for developers is in the making: flarum/docs121
          • Several pages in the docs have already been overhauled to contain the changes for stable.
          • We have almost finished the legal infrastructure to begin with "verified (localised) communities". Those are communities for users in specific languages, that will gain the "verified" status when they live up to specific expectations. Both the Chinese and Turkish communities are considered as early participants.
          • We've silently released some changes to our home page flarum.org. We'll be iterating changes into it up to stable. A few of the things it already features is a team page, showcases, translation packs and our latest blog items. We've also overhauled the donation page.

Please allow us another couple of weeks to get beta 14 in shape. As said before it's the largest release so far and that makes development on it particularly demanding. Please send any words of support you can or donate!

          You all rock!

The updated homepage looks really good, way to go !

Could you please add 🇫🇷 https://www.flarum.fr/ as the French community?
