luceos Past few weeks have been crazy on my end, apologies for the silence. I had hoped to be able to keep posting consistently. Here's what I can report: All core extensions have been readied up for beta 14. Most of the groundwork for beta 14 in core has been finished. An upgrade guide for developers is in the making: flarum/docs121 Several pages in the docs have already been overhauled to contain the changes for stable. We have almost finished the legal infrastructure to begin with "verified (localised) communities". Those are communities for users in specific languages, that will gain the "verified" status when they live up to specific expectations. Both the Chinese and Turkish communities are considered as early participants. We've silently released some changes to our home page flarum.org. We'll be iterating changes into it up to stable. A few of the things it already features is a team page, showcases, translation packs and our latest blog items. We've also overhauled the donation page. Please allow us another couple of weeks to get beta 14 in shape. As said before it's the largest release so far and that makes development on it particularly demanding. Please send any words of support you can or donate! You all rock!

luceos MathieuM going to reach out to you in DM. Being a verified community requires you to agree to some of our requirements.
luceos I've marked all bundled auth extension repositories as archived. Beta 14 will push the bundled authentication drivers for Facebook, GitHub and Twitter to the friends of flarum. A release for this succeeding extension (fof/oauth) is pending the beta 14 release of Flarum. We decided to remove these extensions for a number of reasons: Time spent on maintaining these cannot be used to work on the next flarum release. Only a limited number of core developers are active on each platform and able to maintain them. The API's of these services regularly break. Considering the above, we do not have the capacity to patch these extensions as fast as we'd like. Pushing them towards the community allows everyone to feel a shared responsibility.
010101 luceos For what itβs worth (not much) I use the Google sign in extension someone here made. I also use Google sign in on a WordPress site. I find the Google auth plugins/extensions rarely break. Google is a data hoarding superpower... but, so many people use Google for email that itβs the extra sign in feature that makes the most sense to me. I hope that one continues to work and/or it gets included in the fof auth extension.
luceos @askvortsov has been extremely forthcoming to patch fof extensions used on discuss for the next beta. Together with @datitisev who has been pushing fof extensions forward on our behalf, their effort soon allows us to upgrade discuss ahead of the release and identify areas that demand our attention before tagging beta 14.
luceos Lolu you have a dm 010101 that would probably be possible to include in the fof oauth extension.
Zeokat I hope see some good news on Beta14. Flarum is a nice piece of software, but after four years using it, I realized that my community remains with the same problems as the first day. I saw many improvements, but didn't target my needs π€
tankerkiller125 Zeokat Beta 14 is a continuation of our finalization for extension APIs and some minor bug/feature improvements. We have not, and probably will not introduce any super major features before stable is released.
luceos Zeokat although everyone has different needs. Keeping us aware about your problem areas might help move things forward faster.
