Hosting Flarum/EsoTalk

Hi there guys,

What is the best place to host flarum/EsoTalk forum?

Should I go normal dedicated hosting or cloud hosting? Can you direct me to reliable and cheap hosting that can sustain these two softwares/

While Flarum is under development, I do like to just test run EsoTalk and get little familiar with the system. My understanding is esoTalk is the parental software of Flarum. So if I play with EsoTalk for now, I will be in advantage place later once flarum is ready and transfer will be available too.

As of right now I use x10hosting which isn't the greatest hosting service, but are pretty cheap (They also have shared & VPS hosting as well.)

Free Host is limited but as far as good free hosts go with little down time I can say

I use Premium Hosting from SixServe it's really cheap if you look at it in the long run.
My plan is $19.95 annually with a separate domain purchased elsewhere. $19.95 is practically nothing.
Shared Hosting, and I do believe they have VPN at separate prices, X10 is too pricey in my opinion.

Cheun True that x10Hosting is the "free package" but listing all of their names kinda didn't seem like something to do, but there also is x10vps & x10premium. xD

If you don't want admin a vps, u can take a semi - dedicated hosting with cloudlinux, the resources (ram, cpu) are private, fixed and will be safe ; )

You can use DigitalOcean , it is cheap and easy to use .

Thibault It's basically making an assumption that if they were to follow his suggestion of Digital Ocean he could get something out of it via referral.

Digital Ocean has a referral program where if someone uses a referral link they ('the new user') get $10 in credit and the owner of the referral link earns $25 for each one that signs up.

[deleted] They have shared and dedicated from what I've seen, but the dedicated is a little pricey. VPS is of course something to think about tho.

Would it work on https://www.2freehosting.com ? They have SSH, but their php version is quite low.

Yggdrasil For esoTalk I think the min is PHP 5.3+ but for Flarum this needs PHP 5.5+ so you'll have to check which versions of PHP they use. ?
