I'm looking forward to custom precise stuff in my forum, and so I'd like to learn a little how to extend simple things. I already read the doc and watch the clark's streamings. I'm not a dev at all but I think I'm starting to understand some basic prerequisites.
I already have a local dev env which works fine, and I am able to deal with some little attempts of "how to add a button here or here".
Now I'm looking for advices for a bigger experiment and I can't figure out what is the best way to start...
Long story short, I'd like to duplicate the index sidenav (particularly the tag navigation) in the discussion page (at the left of the thread). I have two hypothesis and I don't know which one is the good way to think :
- I just have to "call" the existing stuff in the discussion page component (would seems easy but I can't figure out how)
- I have to "rebuild" it from down to top where I want to see it (would seems hard for my poor skill but I'd appreciate to have a first clue on this)
Do you have any thought ?
